[FOOD REVIEW] : BUNS & MEAT

     Pork lovers look over here! A place that you should not miss out for a pork-licous meal. With the concept of farm-to-fork, Buns and Meat aim to serve their customers fresh pork in the town. Expect for the taste of home as the burger patties, sausage and buns at Buns & Meat is housemade.

     Buns and Meat located at Sungai Besi. The space is semi outdoor, you can choose to enjoy your meal at cosy sofa seat or at wooden bench and table. The environment of the restaurant is modern and relaxing, the combination of light blue color and white make me think of the beautiful seaside with blue sky and white sand.

     The secret that make burgers served at Buns & Meat extra delicious and healthy is all the burger patties here are housemade! Fresh from the farm that you can taste and it is different with the frozen meat patties that loaded with preservatives from store. The creative kitchen served burgers with different toppings and sauces. My favourite goes to the Spicy Korean Ribs burger because I like spicy food very much. Oh ya, one more thing to tell, their fluffy and buttery smell buns is housemade too.

Runny Mess Burger  RM20.90 Pork bacon burger topped with a poached egg and covered with cheesy sauce.

Grilled Chicken Burger with Cheese Black Pepper  RM16.90 Chicken thigh, black pepper sauce, lettuce, fries, pasta and ham salad.

     The outer skin of the housemade hot dogs is made of lamb's skin, chewy and a little crunchy. The chef plays well with the toppings on the sausage and bun, I prefer Hot Dog with Jalapenose BBQ slaw.

     Pork ribs coated with different sauces, spices and herbs is fingers lickin good! The ribs are tender and covered with sticky glaze, served together with salad and fries. I prefer the Spicy Korean Ribs, spicy enough for my liking.

     Besides from meat, pasta is in the menu too. I have tried out the Aglio Olio with Pork Bacon and garlic bread. A satisfying and flavorful dish that full with bacon, mushroom, and herbs.

     To end up a 'meatful' meal of course we must have something sweet. Artisan handmade cake cannot be miss out, we were served with three cakes : Salted Peanut Butter Cake, Banana Cake and Bailey's Cheese Cake. I personally like the Bailey's Cheese Cake, the taste of Baileys is not too strong, goes well with the soft cheese.

Affogato with crushed cranberry almond biscotti  RM11.90 They served Affogato with three different flavours of ice cream, Vanilla, Coconut and Pandan Kaya. I pick coconut ice cream to pair with my Espresso, it taste sooo good.
