[TRAVEL] : ROAD TRIP TO IPOH WITH FAMILY | 怡保一日游

August 25, 2016

Hey yo, I'm back! Finally my convocation is over, it marks the end of my university life~ Super busy on last week, that is why I didn't blog. Convocation ceremony is so tiring, luckily I have my family members around to help out, thank you so much! Before sending my family back to Seremban, we have a day trip in Ipoh. I'm so happy to get to travel together with family, tick off one of my bucket lists. Next is to bring my family to overseas, gotta work hard~

Candid shot taken nearby Plan B Ipoh.
Ok, basically what you can do in Ipoh is just eat, eat and EAT haha! This post is mainly about FOOD that I had in Ipoh. I visited some of the tourist's attraction too, will include it in the next post.

#1 Ipoh Nga Choy Kai ( MUST EAT! )

Back to here again after two years and the taste is still the same! Silky steamed chicken and crunchy bean sprouts are the best things to go with rice and Hor Fun. As always, this place is full of people.

#2 Ipoh Dim Sum ( BEST FOR BREAKFAST )

How can you miss out Dim Sum in Ipoh? People always argue whether Foh San Dim Sum or Ming Court Dim Sum is the best, so out of curious I decided to try both of their Dim Sum and I prefer Foh San than Ming Court. In my opinion, Foh San is cleaner, tastier and more comfortable than Ming Court. Although their pricing is higher, but it worth the money.

Dim Sum at Ming Court is smaller in size compare to Foh San and taste normal only. Both of them are just opposite to each other, you can try both of their Dim Sum at once.

 #3 Ipoh White Coffee

We went for a cup of Ipoh White Coffee after Dim Sum breakfast. The strong and rich coffee taste with a hint of charcoal scent is so addictive. The shop is full with people so we just take away the White Coffee because we don't want to waste time waiting here.

You can find soft Soya Beancurd aka Tau Fu Fah that melts in your mouth here! I'm officially a fan of their Tau Fu Fah, never eat any Tau Fu Fah that is soft and silky smooth like this before. One bowl only sell at RM1.30, super reasonable price.

 #6 Ipoh Souvenir

Looking for something for your friends and family as a souvenir? Buy them some delicious pastries from Ipoh! They are so many biscuit shops to choose from, I visited Sin Eng Heong which is nearby Funny Mountain Soya Bean shop. So many people queue up here, I waited for two hours for my turn. They are famous for the fluffy kaya puff, yummy!
