One Belt One Road (OBOR) is a development strategy and framework proposed by Chinese paramount leader Xi Jinping that focuses on connectivity and cooperation among countries primarily between the People's Republic of China and the rest of Eurasia. Malaysia is strategically situated on the south belt. In addition to the Chinese government, many private sectors, including Evergreen have come together and aspire to contribute to the success of the ambitious initiative by investing in relevant projects in the OBOR trade route. Opening speech by Director of Evergreen Group, Mr. Danni Wong.

   According to Mr. Davy Chan, Chairman of the Evergreen Group, "The Fund is set up with a long term vision to promote tourism sector in countries and regions along the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road. By working with Hong Kong and Mainland China, Malaysia will gain better financial strength thus strengthening its existing foundation and infrastructure to achieve more integrated productivity and attracting investment. The launching event was then continued with the signing ceremony.
